Starfleet Command - Orion Pirates centers around the deadly Orion Pirates, a popular, long-standing element of the Star Trek universe. A brutal force of privateers and criminals controlling territories of Federation space, the Orion Pirates consist of eight cartels, each with unique histories, user interfaces, crew voices and identifying logos. The game features a 12-mission campaign plus 26 skirmish missions and three bonus missions based on the classic TV episode "A Piece of the Action." In these bonus missions, players must return to the Planet Iotia to execute a deal negotiated by the Starship Enterprise, collecting dues from 1920's style gangsters. Instead, they find that the "Orions" have been hard at work muscling in on the Iotians, carving up that part of the galaxy. This installment of the Starfleet Command series features new phaser types, including shield piercing, along with other new weapons such as heavy photons. It's easily customizable and is still being played online in Gamespy and assorted Dynaverse servers.It runs readily on both X/P and Windows Vista, it's simply is the highest rated of the Starfleet Command series of games.Read full review
I like the added pirates to the Star Trek Starfleet Command II Empires at War game, and I love Star Trek in general. Starfleet Command is out of it's league in the best programming in the whole world. I give NASA a run for thier money with this strategy game. :) The only thing I dislike about it, is some of the areas created, like in all Starfleet Command games, begins a new system, and then it never got completed. I like thier idea/s but someone needs to take over where the developers left off. That is why I would like to see NASA help themselves out with a new game, like NASA's Star Trek Starfleet Command Ultimate Command. Can we do this boys?
The mechanics are perfect. Used to play this as a kid with my dad and now am reliving those memories with him. A must own for any trekkie and gamer.

This is what Star Trek needs more of. Great game. With new pirate factions and the already "regular" empires, this is a fun take on the Star Trek game play.
REALLY A GOOD GAME. IF YOU LIKE SPACE GAMES THEN BUY IT. REALLY INTERESTING. FUN TO PLAY. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.
