If you are reading this, you are probably looking for a Wilson 8802, 8813, Palmer Original, or something along the lines of the 8802. This is one of my favorite putters of all-time. I have been playing golf for about 30 years now and I've used practically every type of putter out there. The simpleness is what I like about this putter. I love the clean lines and classic look it has. To be honest with you, there are easier putters to putt with out there, but you just cant beat a classic like the 8802. If you're a little shaky with the putter, then this club is not for you. If I'm not using my 8802 during a round of golf, I am either using my 8813 or my Odyssey White Hot #8. Most golfers know you are hitting an 8802 when you take it out of your bag, and its always a good conversation piece, especially when its in good condition like mine. These blade style putters make it easy to line up the ball with the hole and with the 8802's style, judging the speed and distance is easier because of the heel mounted shaft.Read full review
A Classic! The same type of putter Arnold Palmer used to use when he was with Wilson. I used to have one of these 45 years ago. Putter in great shape. Pictures don't do it justice. A rare find and great deal. Thank!

Instantly fell in love with this putter when it came out, and just decided to get it now. Putting and chipping have always been my strength, and have always relied on feel. I tried Odyssey, TaylorMade and a Scotty Cameron, but once I got this baby I was smitten. It is definitely old school, but it is a proven design and as long as you know how to putt, it responds. The mallet putters - don't know - they just don't have the feel and look I want - so big and blocky and confusing. A blade putter is so simple and intuitive. The best part is the feel - when you connect with the ball, it feels just right. When your strike is off, you instantly know it - love that. When it is spot on, you instantly know it. It is not too forgiving, but isn't that what we want? For those who go by feel, and are comfortable with a serious putter, I highly recommend it.Read full review

I'm an incurable putter junkie and have tried all manner of hi-tech putters. My buddy has an original 8802 and has always bested me on the greens. I came across this re-issue and have since left all my more expensive putters at home. What's outstanding really is the feel of this putter. Better with an arcing stroke (which isn't what I was used to), it somehow tells you all about the speed of the putt. I also like the fact that, with it's miniscule sweetspot, I can toe-putt scarey downhill putts now and use almost the same stroke as normal. If you really don't need the original from the 1960s, get this re-issue from 1996. coming from someone who had a severe case of 'yips,' before, this putter has astounded me that I can handle a toe-weighted blade putter. Smoooooooooooooth!!!
Club is exactly what I wanted. Well made and does the job.
