good quality picture but need a little more pixels. the battery life is fair. I would like to have a compact digital camera with focusing like SLR once but couldn't find it. if it was a CCD high sensitivity, it will have a better picture quality. this will be the best compact digital camera for trips for the zoom, and menu, and price.
I did a lot of research to find exactly the features I wanted/needed in a camera for my trip to Europe. It is small but has excellent zoom. IT has all the manual functions as the larger IS series, but in a size similar to that of the Elph series. I love Canon. I searched through all different brands this time around, and yet again landed on Canon because of the features. I even decided on getting the older 230 rather than the new 260 due to tiny differences and preferences. I promised this camera to my mother when I got home, but I am going to give her one of my other Canons and keep this one for myself. I highly recommend this camera for other users who want manual interface (not to say it doesn't to amazing point and shoot as well) in a small size. Love it.
Love this camera, takes great pictures, easy to use, awesome setting on the camera for different types of pictures. Only thing that is bad it that it eats up batteries pretty fast.
This is the best you can get, for now. If you want more you will have to pay more. Have tried all the other brands, in the same category, as recomended by " internet experts". There is higher capacity batteries avialable(mAh) while canon gives you only 1120 mAh. No SD card included, but you can buy large capacity ones cheap on e-bay. At least 8GB is recommneded.
