This is literally the biggest phone you can get even with the new iPhone Plus having a 5.9in screen! I would consider this a tablet for some people. Large hands and pockets are a must! If you are a previous HTC M7 owner than you would know that this phone is great and reliable because it's just an up-scaled version of the M7 with a much bigger battery. If you want a speedy, reliable battery that can last you all day with normal-heavy use the MAX would be for you. The camera is acceptable and doesn't have the pink tint glitch that the M7 has and is relatively thin compared to other device this size. With having 2GB of ram and a snappy quad core makes the multitasking experience great.

I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING OUT OF TOWN WITH THE PHONE USING IT FOR THE GPS WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT JUST TURNS OFF!! SO $89 LATER AFTER I TOOK IT TO A REPAIR SHOP THEY SAID THEY STILL CANT GET IT TO WORK. THEY THOUGHT IT MAY HAVE BEEN THE BATTERY BUT AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY AND ANYTHING ELSE THEY COULD POSSIABLY CHARGE ME FOR, IT CAME DOWN TO IT BEING A FAULTY PHONE. SO NOW IM $89 FOR REPAIRS FOR A PHONE I CANT USE AND $120 FOR THE PHONE ITSELF. IM SO UPSET.

The htc one max is a huge-mongous phone. With its 5.9 inch screen please be aware this is not a pocketable phone (unless u have apron sized pockets. This, however makes way for the very beautiful screen which is very accurate and reproduces colors well. The styling of the phone mimics the original htc one m7 ; however, the materials used a a step below the m7s. The addition of the fingerprint sensor also makes an additional layer of security but nowadays it seems every manufacturer is doing it in one way or the other. The processor of this phone is pretty capable(not top notch when the phone was released but phone is still very responsive). The phones built in 32gb storage 2gb ram and the inclusion of a sd card slot makes this a perfect media phone. Pair the screen, storage and the boomsound (front firing) speakers and you have you self quite the mini entertainment suite.Read full review
The HTC One Max is not a phone for everyone. However, for the people like me, who want an excellent media consumption experience, this is the king of devices. Hardware A mix of iodized aluminum and plastic comprises the shell of the One Max. This construction feels solid and premium when the device is held. The original HTC One had a more unibody build, with chamfered aluminum edges. These are missing with the One Max, however. Although the plastic looks slightly less dignified than the edge to edge aluminum, it feels oh-so-good in the palm. the plastic is a matte textured polycarbonate that is pleasant to the touch and doesn't detract from the solidity of the product. The aluminum backplate is removable, too, giving access to the sim card slot and micro SD card slot for more storage. Because the back comes off, there is a tiny seam between the plate and the plastic breaks at the top and bottom. Once the back is clipped on, it is completely solid in place, though. *There has been an issue with some early One Max units in which the backplate clicks in and out on the top right corner. You'll be glad to know that I have no such issue with my unit.* Display A stunning 1080p screen with a ppi of ~370. While many screens are breaking the 400 or even 500 ppi mark, don't let that fool you into thinking that this phone is any slouch. The Super LCD3 panel is gorgeous and extremely crisp. Colors are vivid, but natural looking, and the brightness is great. The vast expanse of screen you get with the 5.9" diagonal lets you view much more content than smaller displays, and it feels "roomier" because of that. Smaller displays will feel cramped after using the On Max. Sound This is the part of the device that blows me away. The sound out of the dual front facing speakers is unreal. Room-filling, rich sound blasts from the One Max at a volume that seems almost too loud for such a small device. Mid tones are clear, and, if the sound is turned up high enough, Bass tones start to become present. Of course, this is no Bose sound system, and headphones still offer superior depth, but for built-in speakers on a smartphone, the sound is extremely impressive. Software Upon buying an HTC One Max, you will be bombarded with a slew of updates. One of these updates is for the new Sense 6 User Interface. This UI is very, very smooth and sleek looking. The minimalistic style is easy on the eyes, although not nearly as "Happy" as the likes of Samsung's offerings. Luckily, different color themes are available to slightly liven up the color theme. The ease of use is definitely better than many other smartphones, making the learning curve, for the most part, smooth. Camera Unfortunately, this is the one weak spot of the device. (-1 point) A 4 Megapixel "Ultrapixel" camera is housed in the back, while a wide angle 2.1 megapixel camera resides in the front. The shots are decent, even nice to look at, depending on the situation and steadiness of your hands. But just be aware: this is no iPhone 6, Galaxy S5, or Note 4. The resolution is on the low side, so if you need to print your pictures, be prepared for a small print. Low light shots are good, though, with much more detail than most competitors. Oh, right. This phone is large, too. Some people have a problem with that. I do not, so points were deducted for that. I find the phone quite easy to use, actually, but each one will have his/her own opinion on that. One last thing: The Battery life is also exceptional.Read full review
I started with the HTC Evo and moved on the the One Max. With an Otter Box, it fits easily in my pants pocket and I use it frequently with Kindle for reading. They have a reputation for flaky hardware and my first lost the rear camera and Bluetooth. This replacement is doing well so far after 10 days of use.
