The Rider Waite Tarot deck is possibly one of the most widely-used tarot decks existant. Its subtle imagery connects on an archetypal level with its users, especially those from the Western European traditions. This particular set, which includes the Universal Waite deck and the book written by Waite is very helpful for the beginning to intermediate tarot student. Because the book is written by the man integral in the design of the deck, the symbolism as it is explained comes close to what was conceived originally. Of course, the ultimate judge of a particular card's meaning is the subconscious of the user, but knowing the why's of the design can help inform the subconscious, so to speak. Having owned many tarot decks through the years, I find myself returning frequently to my RW deck. In my opinion, it is the lingua franca of the tarot world.Read full review
I love everything about the deck and book. The cards have wonderful artwork and the words in the book are straightforward. You can practice using your intuitive self to gain insight into your life or that of others. I just use it for myself and friends. It is grounding and quite comforting at times to use the Tarot to find direction or answers through intuition. This is one of my favorit decks, I also really love the Shamanic Deck. I recommend it being used to connect to your intuitive self and become more aware of the intuitive within. Very enjoyable.

The Best Selling Tarot in the World. Easy to use and understand. The only issue was a printing error in the "little booklet" that came with the deck of cards. "Two of Cups", you will find the complete meaning in the bigger "Book" that comes in the set.
