I've had above the ground pools for 20 years plus. I always go back to the hard sided ones as they last longer then the blow up ring ones. This is an INTEX 12ft. it was easy to put up, ground was already leveled, took less then an hour to completely put up with 2 of us. I am 59 and my 20 year old daughter helped me. I love the filtration system with the double intake. Only thing I hate are the metal poles. I get MAYBE 2 summers out of them before they completely rust out here in Florida. The elbows are heavy duty PVC so maybe that'll help with some of the rust issue. The liner is GREAT, heavy duty quality as well. Since everything was inclusive (pool, filter, cartridge) this was a great deal and I am really happy with it.

It will last a summer at most, with good care. It's a good way to entertain kids during a pandemic lockdown. I guess some people realized that as well and just raised the prices on these things. Prior to the pandemic prices were way lower.

This is my third Intex pool. The first was small (the one with the blue ring around the top). I really enjoyed it so last year I bought another Intex pool, but way bigger (like 18 feet wide I think). I had to downsize because we don't have a fenced backyard. So this year I bought this pool. The perfect medium. I was between the 10x30 and the 12x30. I chose the 12x30 because having that extra room is important. It makes it just a little better in my opinion. It is easy to assemble, but I have the experience from last summer so it was breeze. Took me about 30 minutes to get the pool up and standing. I brought the pump inside and assembled all the connections so when I went outside all I had to do was connect the three hoses to the appropriate place. Then I let the pool fill up and after it was full I then turned on the pump and followed those instructions. Also, after the pool was up I filled it 2 inches to get out any wrinkles and make sure it was on even ground before I finished filling it all the way up. My only complaint about the pool is I wish it had some type of small ladder. You will have to lift your kids in and out and if you are petite like I am then you will also find it awkward to get in and out. If I put one leg over to get in the pool frame is almost to tall for me without needing a step ladder or something. I have googled ladders and such to fix this problem and they are expensive so not worth it. I will just deal with the annoyance.Read full review

The Intex 12" x 30" is a good fit for the age of our kids and the size of our backyard. I do wish it was a tad deeper, but this is a standard size. It has been durable for the week and a half we've owned it with daily use. Set up is not difficult with 2 people. There are quite a few things to do for maintenance, but that's par for the course. Overall a great purchase considering I bought it during a shortage of these pools at a higher than usual price.

Pool got here in three days, and was an easy setup. Love it. We'll enjoy it all summer.
