Nice product for keeping handgun “secured” (at a very basic level) and handy where you need it. Calling it a “vault” is quite a misnomer, as a child could probably pry it open with a butter knife — or a determined teen could just kick it open. I would NOT trust this ”vault” to secure my firearm against a youth with “disorders”, nor to leave it visible in my car while unattended. It will keep sane-honest people out and put your gun where you need it. Access via the keypad is not foolproof, but it is simple and easy. Expect the need to enter your code 2 or 3 times when you move from orange to red alert. Better to push the buttons firmly & decisively rather than fast and error out; and practice in the dark (the buttons don’t light up on my model, which is fine for me). The light can be shut off, the beep can be silenced and the size of the safe makes it relatively easy to hide. However, when the lock is released, it makes a very loud noise which could very easily give your position away inadvertently. If i was to modify this safe, I would only change the locking mechanism to make it silent!

This is an outstanding safety vault. I presently have two of these and both are in use. They are easy and quick to use and EZ to mount and make them useable. I would recommend this vault for anybody that has a hand gun thats not secure.

This is a very well made safe with great features as would be expected from gunvault. The one thing I wish it had is a regular keypad as the 4 button one limits your code choices considerably. Still an awesome safe, though
