I’ve been trying to find this movie for a couple years now on DVD...I know it’s been out there however some copies of the film are not the best quality and others can’t be played on all DVR’s. This particular copy is perfect! It is a humorous, fun, and engaging movie starring one of my fav actors Jeff Goldblum and singer Cyndi Lauper.. A must see movie for fans of the aforementioned duo! Most people don’t remember this gem from 1988, but it’s Cyndi Lauper’s film debut and its a good one. She plays a psychic who along with fellow psychic Jeff Goldblum, get hired by Peter Falk to find his missing son lost in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador. Of course Falk is lying, he’s really after the room of gold in a lost Incan city. He’s hoping these 2 oddballs can locate the city and make him rich. Of course some bad guys are after them and they get into one scrape after another before discovering the true richness of said city. Very funny in some parts, it’s a pretty good adventure film to get lost in on an afternoon or stay at home date night. If anything, see it for Lauper, she’s fantastic in this! Also stars Julian Sands and a cameo by a very young Steve Buscemi.

I have LOVED this movie for years!!! Jeff Goldblum and Cyndi Lauper are FANTASTIC together in this film and I totally enjoy watching it! It's a light hearted comedy and well worth watching. If you love Jeff and Cyndi, or either one, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this movie and give it a 15 out of 10!!! WELL WORTH ADDING IT TO YOUR COLLECTION!!!

I love Jeff Goldblum & Cindy Lauper so this movie is a treasure. Classic, campy 80’s. Was happy to find it brand new for this price, it is a rare find. Cyndi Lauper’s acting is great, considering it’s her first film. If you’re not sure if you’ll enjoy the movie, watch her music video for ‘Hole in My Heart’, a track from the film. ☺️
