Most people who have heard of Oliver Nelson only know this great album: wonderful compositions played by a top-notch set of artists including Freddie Hubbard, Bill Evans, Eric Dolphy & Roy Haynes. First track "Stolen Moments" is the pinnacle, but "Hoedown" and "Yearning" are also really enjoyable. Three further strong tracks make for an overall excellent listen. Vinyl recordings are limited and hence expensive, so this is an affordable way to enjoy this great album (although you need 20/20 vision to read the original liner notes)
