One of the most overlooked talents of the 1980's, Oingo Boingo produced crisp, tight music that is positively ageless. The alternative stations on XM Radio are sprinkling in OB music here and there, and the more they play, the more requests they get! But "Dead Man's Party" offers just a small glimpse of their prowess. Not really much "fluff" on this CD, no junk. Everyone knows what its like to buy a disc for their favorite song only to discover the balance is... disappointing at best. Not true here. Once XM stations refreshed my memory of why I liked this band to begin with, I simply had to have the CD. GREAT DRIVING MUSIC. David Byrne fans would probably like this.
You know you're on a music flashback high when you're listening to Oingo Boingo. I've loved their music for years now and this compilation of their greatest tunes has been a great companion for me. If you're looking for a blast from the past, or educating someone on what "good music" really is... then pick this one up! I mean, c'mon. It's Oingo Boingo we're talking about.
