Hi folks, This CD was such a disappointment! I also feel it is overpriced and would not recommend it. Corea, Clarke and White is one of my all time favourite rhythm-sections and so I was extra disappointed when I heard the results (as a whole) of this album. It is way too heavy on vocals which dominate and elongate the bulk of the material. The recording quality is quite poor (more so than "Hymn Of The 7th Galaxy") and much of the time the guitarist is placed out-on-a-limb with no purpose. The bass solos of Stanley feature him on upright (thru a wha-wha) with electric overdubbed. These moments are too diffuse to appreciate because the 'EQ' is dreadful and both are place dead-centre 'panned'. Judging by the title (and I think the lyrics are written by Neville Potter) the whole thing has a 'Scientology' overtone about it. For me, the only saving grace is two short Corea solo's (on Track 1 and I think the final track) where he plays most excellently. On the latter, he performs his famous 'Spain' lick but in a CHORDED style [which is so magnificent it was worth buying the album just to hear that!). However, his solos are too short. Corea's clavinet keyboard is also too diffuse to be able to distinguish in the 'mix'. Unless I decided to transcribe the to above mentioned solos, I will probably never listen to this CD again! Forgivably, I believe this is Clarke's very first album as a leader and so perhaps it is a little harsh to be so critical of this particular work. Though I would still highly recommend purchasing "Return To Forever" or "Light As A Feather" instead! Best, Paul David Seaman (UK)Read full review
