I had forgotten how 'progressive' this band was. It can be a little boring at times due to the lack of vocals (there ARE vocals from time to time-mostly yodeling). Musicians were great!

Focus is one of the most underrated rock bands ever. Their music is an eclectic mix of classical, Wakeman-like songs, Focus III is absolutely haunting, then the next thing you know Thijs Van Leer is yodeling (!),Jan Akkerman is wailing speedmetal on his guitar, then it softens back down again with beautiful flute work by Van Leer as well as clean, smooth guitar work by Akkerman. Hocus Pocus is an absolute classic, and the full length version is unlike ANY rock'n'roll song you'll ever hear. Focus is the most wonderfully unique group you'll likely ever hear.
