Il Volo is a new singing group . 3 young Italian boys competed in a singing contest (In Italy) when they were just 14 & 15 years old. They all had very impressive voices & sang many types of songs.They sounded so wonderful when singing together that a trio was formed. The new group was named Il Volo...Take Flight. After a short time, they were brought to the United States and put on a show at the Detroit Opera House . It was filmed, and became a PBS music special. America was amazed! They toured to sell-out crowds around the world & more people were amazed with their glorious voices & harmonies. A second PBS special was filmed in Miami. I'm not sure who chooses the music they sing... but whoever does it...does a wonderful job! This group is very impressive musically.Much of the music they sing is operatic. Beautiful songs that most people are familiar with.They also sing old standards & pop that they put their own spin on. It has been wonderful seeing these 3 young guys grow up & evolve.They have learned English & Spanish & sing in multiple other languages. Whether they are singing solos or together it is a true joy to hear them. I was blessed to hear them in concert, in Tampa, in September of 2013. FANTASTIC !
