One of my favorite bands, one of my favorite authors -- and the whole is just a little short of the sum of its parts. Like the Rick Kemp and crew King of Elfland's Daughter album, there are wonderful bits here -- hearing Sir Terry doing a recitative, the final song -- and it's amazing that he got to perform with one of his favorite bands. The love involved here, on both sides, is infectious. But the love is a little too inbred -- I kept feeling that both sides were trying a little too hard. This is not the best introduction to either of them; still, it's a necessary purchase for anyone who really loves either of them already.
