looks like it will be better than the other ....proof brand and a great price 1/4 of what I paid for the other 3 life ones I wore out. I wish it was thinner but it looks durable otterbox is the brand I was looking for because I got one for my husbands phone and it survived falling from a car and run over. It's an Otter Box. Good solid case. Has drawbacks though. Hole for the power connector is sized so only a original Apple power cable will work through it. On aftermarket cables the connectors are too large and will not fit through the hole. Also the connector cover is a bit unwieldy on this model. To make it work with my cables I had to drill out the power connector hole and cut off the excess cover leaving a large hole for the power cable to fit through. I would recommend using a different case.

This Otter Box is the most durable multi-purpose case you can get . I’ve drop my phone off a building and landed on a cement walkway . My phone survived without damage. I’ve had it run over by a truck while working , it was a sandy road but my phone survived without damage. I use my phone underwater to take pictures and videos . With no problem . My IPhone 5 I bought when they first hit the market, thanks to these cases , it has never had a broken screen or even a scratch on it . It looks the same as the day it came out of the box .

All pro's. The case is solid and built to take a lot of abuse. It should be water resistant as the enclosure is o'ring sealed. Easy to charge with a separate sealed port. I have used it for several weeks and found no downside. Just ordered on for my son who is a scuba instructor and liked the way mine is sealed to prevent water damage and impact. It is easy to remove the phone when needed which is not often.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. It is heavy duty and seems durable. I do not want any major mishaps to happen with his phone, because we all know how expensive new phones can be, but I am confident that this case will provide all the necessary protection if something does happen, so that he can use this phone for a long time! It does make the phone heavier, which some people may not like, my husband however looks at it as a sign of the durability of the case. The fact that it meets military standards is a plus as well. Overall it was a great buy and I would definitely recommend this case to others.
