I bought it for the VCR. The VCR function of this used Samsung works better and has a better quality picture than the new Funai that I bought a year ago. I bought it because the VCR side of the Funai quit working and I'm not willing to replace all my VCR tapes.

My only issue is for optimum video quality a remote is needed to manually adjust tracking. For fune tuning purposes. It does have auto tracking that works good enough i suppose. Dvd player does not like burned disc. Other then that this is a great machine
