This unit replaced our original H-K AVR30 so we knew how it should work. Everything was fine, except for one stripped connector on the rear, which we were able to "fix". There are lots of inputs for external components and surround sound options are plentiful. A really great choice unless you need Bluetooth or Wi-Fi capabilities. It was a great value for a replacement receiver!!

The music quality is excellent, if you have good speakers. It only provides inputs for a phonograph and a tape deck. Does not provide an auxiliary input, however, I use a 4 port audio switch to add more devices. Where I live, I don't get good FM & AM signals, so I don't use the radio.

This is a great receiver the quality and build are top notch. The only downside is the tape2 function I thought it would be a tape 2 monitor loop so I could run a equalizer through it. Its not. Just a reg. tape input, I guess I thought all tape2s would be a loop...oh well great receiver anyway
