Hard to beat the price on this camera, it's a good value for the money. The camera it's self is a little complicated for a beginner. It does lots of different things but it is not explained well unless you know what you're doing. Had a small Cannon before that took pretty good pictures, sorry I got rid of it now.

I was considering buying a full blown digital SLR, but after looking at them and all the features, I decided that I really wouldn't be able to devote the time necessary to learn how to use a DSLR properly, not to mention the huge difference in price. Since this model is basically a point and shoot, I decided to save myself a boatload of money and give it a chance. Also, the main feature I was interested in was the optical zoom and this one is pretty darn good. I haven't spent a lot of time using it yet but so far I like it pretty well. There are a couple of things that I should mention. I am having a little bit of trouble with the focus. I am not always able to tell by using the screen when it is in focus and I am having a few shots that are out of focus. Secondly, it is a little cumbersome downloading photos to my computer. Basically, I am resorting to drag and drop. I have had a few Canon point and shoot cameras over the years and I like the download software that comes with those cams. But all things considered, it is a good price for a camera with 35 X optical zoom.Read full review
The camera works great and takes excellent pictures and video. The only thing I don't like about it is NO VIEW FINDER! Why camera companies decided to make so many cameras without one is very disappointing. It just isn't the same not having one. It takes away from the value of the camera (any camera) when it doesn't have a view finder to look through. It's like it takes away from the creative view of the photographic artist! If I wanted to take pics without a view finder I could just use my phone!!! BUt this deal was to good to pass up even without the view finder.
