This is the second Hisense Sero 7 Pro motherboard I've purchased in the past couple of years. The first one was to replace a board that would not boot up past the title splash screen. This one to replace a board on a different machine that had apparently failed after a short fall onto a carpeted floor. The selling point for me is how inexpensive the parts are for this tablet...and, how relatively easy it is to replace those parts. The Sero 7 Pro is a good quality machine (bordering on great), as far as design and function. But let's face it: the overall quality is just not as good as Apple or, say, (most) Samsung products. Still, for the price and ease of replacement it's worth keeping around as a everyday tablet for help with projects like car repair. I'd never consider getting my iPad Pro near grease and oil-covered parts...but the low operational costs of the Sero 7 Pro make it an ideal choice. In fact, I have two.Read full review

This is one of the very best 7" tablets on the market today. Even though its 2 years old it still keeps up with the latest tablets out there. The screen quality is as good or better than most all tablets made. The price is better than any tablet of the same or better quality. It has many features lacking in most other branded tablets. You will never be disappointed by this tablets features functions or abilities. It got a very fast processor to keep up with the latest games. Its my tablet of choice as I repair and resell this tablet brand only as its very reliable! Do not hesitate if you have the opportunity to buy one!! 5 Stars is not nearly enough for this awesome value in a tablet!!

Extremly versatile, has hdmi output, perfect size, easy to root. I have used on vacation to watch streamed content on flat screen hdmi tv. Good battery life, custom roms available are excellent (currently on 4.4). Excellent support on sero7forums. Superb value for money. Can be used with plugin keyboard/case, making it like a laptop; hammermill lets it print via wifi, bt or usb connection. Can be overclocked, no problems with battery.
I was on the market for a new tablet and almost hopped in in the Nexus 7 wagon until I saw a review about the Hisense Sero 7 Pro. After seeing all the good review, I wanted to try it. Best tablet for the price. It has the same processor the Nexus 7 (2012) has, it has the same screen resolution, 1 GB of RAM, but the best things is that it has a microSD card slot and mini HDMI connection, where the Nexus doesn't. It also has a rear 5 M camera with flash and though the quality image isn't the best, at least is better than not having a camera at all. The only little problem I have is when charging it. When you plug the charger, it doesn't connect fully, so you have to kinda play with the connector until you see that it says charging. Not really a big deal for me, though.
This was actually a Hisense Sero 8, not 7 Pro, but this was disclosed in the ad. eBay has very inaccurate descriptions. Like the 7, the 8 has a fast processor, very sharp contrasting screen, and accepts all standard apps at half the price of the big names. Battery life is also excellent. Standard procedure - it was discontinued, like the 7. Gov't motto: if it ain't broke, fix it until it is. Great buy.
