For the price this is not a bad book. I learned several interesting tips and pointers that I did not previously understand. I think some of it was opinionated in some parts by the author. I also feel that he did not go into enough details on some topics like changing fluids and a few gotchas on things like changing out brake pads etc.. I knew most of the stuff in this book so I was a little disappointed with the depth of the book. But if you are a beginner this would be a great place to start! Unfortunately my quest goes on for a different book but I am not going to discount this book as not having interesting and useful information for the price I paid for it!
Great book for beginners. Lots of pictures, good pictures. Very simple yet provides enough depth for a single book on a broad subject.

it gives you some more basic informations on general automechanic,its a good start for DIY'S.after reading you will have a better prospective of how your car works.
