Very underrated movie, due to controversy at the time regarding Rex Harrison. But not withstanding, this is the kind of movie that you need to watch without interruption from start to finish. The reason will be told later in this comment. You must immerse yourself in the plot and "sense" the genuine love feelings between a man and his wife. At the same time, it is immensely funny! If you like romantic comedy, and music, this film is right up your alley. Rex Harrison is so love-struck, he can hardly contain himself! The last statement at the end, said by him is the climax of the movie. I believe in context, after everything that has happened during the movie, it is one of the greatest lines ever spoken in the history of cinema!! It is the genuine expression of love from a man to a woman. Love it!Read full review

This 1948 Preston Sturges movie stars Rex Harrison as a symphony conductor and Linda Darnell as his younger wife, who he believes is being unfaithful to him, so he plans three courses of action against her,....one being murder! This film is made brilliant by Harrison who fantasizes about how to do away with her while conducting his orchestra in a wild behavior that has them raising their eyebrows. This movie has some side-splitting moments! It was remade in 1984 with Dudley Moore and even though Moore has his own style, you just can't compare him to Harrison. Oranges to apples in my opinion.
Love the comedy, quick wit. Rex Harrison is fantastic! Especially learning to conduct right handed. Linda Darnell proves to be an incredible actress. She's great!
