I am not your typical professional cycling fan. I am a 50'ish woman who fell in love with a race many years ago. I was truly inspired by Lance and have followed his career for quite a long time and I was very excited about this book. I received it for Christmas. By Christmas night, I had looked at every page 2x and read every word. If you are looking for a "readable" book, this is not your book. This book contains very candid and personal pictures. They were carefully chosen by Lance and his people, I am certain. I have over 100 books on Lance and the TDF and cycling, and I personally enjoyed this book because of the type of photos and the commentary. The description of the photos appeared to be directly from Lance and from the type of pictures, probably personally chosen by him. If you are looking for a book, which talks about redemption, about bikes, about doping or not doping, this is not the book for you. I feel this is a book about a man, with extraordinary talent and zest for life and all that comes with it. Have you ever "loved" something so much, you can't stand the thought of never being able to do it again? This is how I believe Lance feels about the Tour de France and just riding his bike. For those who feel like he should have stayed retired, I understand how you feel that way. I always saw Lance as a man of his word and was never more surprised than when he decided to come back. For those of you naysayers, believe what you want, but several things are for sure.....1) Lance has mobilized the cancer community and it's fight to places it has never been 2)He has forever put the USA on the map in France and the history of the Tour De France 3) He has surrounded himself with some of the greatest friends anyone could wish for especially when it comes to his ex-wife, his friend College and Johan Bruyneel 4)He has done what I think is his best to maintain an open, honest and loving relationship with his children an their activities. This is what the book shows you, without many words, just moreso in pictures. And what is usually said is "pictures speak 1000 words". LiveStrong Lance any may your message live on! Great pictures and quotes. Basically a year out of Lance's life from the 2008 Leadville to the 2009 Leadville with the TdF and Giro in between. Has training and family life in between as well and great pictures of Lance's broken collarbone.

Very nice 1st person view of Lance Armstrong's comeback. Excellent pictures. This is a pictorial, so not much reading.
