Simply that the one I had was damaged and I enjoy this movie, it,s good to go back to the teenage years, A great escapism form what happening in 2020.

I bought the dvd because I love the movie but once I played the dvd once and it was still fresh from the case, the movie messed up at one part like the dvd was scratched. I didn’t understand because it was a new dvd and I hadn’t touched it or wiped it. But the rest of the movie played well, just wish it all played well.

This is a pretty good movie...I didn't like the message that it sends high school kids. It doesn't express the right priorities/values people should have. For example, one girl asked her friend, "What do you want more than anything in the whole world?!" and she replied, '(a popular boy's name that she didn't even know)' and the other girl said, "Well, if you don't do this (sneaking out of the house, doing illegal stuff, and breaking the law), he won't ever notice you!" It's all about reputations and who is popular with who regardless of consequences! I liked the character role that Steve Carell played (Officer Sherman). It's pretty funny. This is the main reason I bought it...I also got it at a low price, so in all it's worth the money...
I'm an adult with no children and I happened to catch this movie on Showtime and it was very entertaining. It is about friendship and trying to fit in. The characters are very likable and the dream guy is dreamy. Even the geeky guys are likeable. Steve Carrel is a hilariously inept security guard. You don’t have to be a teen to appreciate this movie. It reminded me of being young and doing fun things with my friends. However parents may not like the fact that the girls successfully sneak out of the house and drive around town on a scavenger hunt. You decide. The music was really good as well. I would buy the soundtrack.
A couple of tween girls get together for a sleepover. They sneak out to go to a high school dance. At the same time, one of the girls mom's goes out on the town. Later, the girls decide to go to a club. Yes, pre-teen girls who are able to pass off as adults at a club... Oh my, it's the same club that the girl's mom went to... blahblahblah ... The one 14 yr old less-than-hot girl gets a dream date with the hot drummer from the high school prom (at least 18 yrs old, maybe MUCH older). The 13 year old girl ends up with the prom King from the high school dance, the hottest boy in the school, aged 17 or 18, begging for a date with this junior high girl who has sleepovers and sneaks out of her parents' house. This is supposed to appeal to young teen "tween" girls but I can't imagine how it could possibly succeed. The plot is not just completely implausible, it is actually offensive. The sappy-happy endings do not make up for the complete lack of anything worth watching. Being drunk while watching this movie DOES NOT HELP. This is a VERY BAD MOVIE.Read full review
