Jason Ritter (son of the late John Ritter and star of such shows as Joan of Arcadia and the Class as well as several movie roles) stars with ,Jesse Eisenberg (Adventureland) in this drama about love and life. Charlie (Eisenberg) is your typical every day kid who has dreams and aspirations much like everyone else. Mitch (Ritter) is not your typical everyday kid. He is the kid that all the others look up to. After an experience at a party where Mitch shows who he really is, Charlie soon learns Mitch is much less than he thought he was. The story is about the balance that is struck between them as they try to find the answers to their own lives and try to come to grips with who they are. For a first project by Fred Durst I think he did a great job. Personally I think that Eisenberg needs to get out of the 'inexperienced kid' roles and show everyone that he is capable of becoming a great actor. Jason Ritter has a bright future ahead of himself if he can stay focused and perhaps move away from the Bully type roles that he seems to land. Rated 5 of 5 for a great movie that is very entertaining.Read full review
The Education of Charlie Banks is a really good movie. The story is unique and interesting. You get to love and hate characters all at the same time. Fred Durst did a good job directing this film. I recommend it to people who aren't looking for a chick flick or another typical hollywood story.
This was a very good movie. Very entertaining. I was surprised that the director was Fred Durst, but he did a very good job.
