I bought the Alias disc set because I use to watch it all the time when it was a tv show in my area. Some could say I'm an Alias Fanatic! I never missed an episode. I love this show because of Jennifer Garner and her handler Michael Vaughn. They work really well together. I mostly like how Jennifer plays all those different roles and they all just seem to fit her to a T. The scenes take place all over the world. I love her kick-butt fighting scenes. She is the real deal and she speaks numerous languages in real life. I also love the way she wears her emotions on her sleeve on this show. It makes you feel as if what you're watching on the screen is really happening. There is nothing I dislike about the show because it is very entertaining and never a dull moment. You have to pay close attention. Just when you think you have it all figured out; you will be wrong!. I would buy the Alias dvd's again because it allows me to have all this action right at my fingertips to enjoy whenever I please. Alias is at the top of my list. I give Alias "Two Thumbs Up!"Read full review
This is a show that I always wanted to watch, but had missed season 1. I decided to wait for the dvd sets and glad I did. Each episode has a cliffhanger and it makes it nice that I can simply put in the next disc and not have to wait for next week's show. Created and produced by JJ Abrams of "Lost" fame, this intriguing spy drama has lavish sets, great locations, cool clothes/disguises and a great story line. I was captured from the very first episode. The box set consists of six discs, with 3-4 episodes on each. The show is shot in widescreen and displayed in 1.78 anamorphic widescreen. The soundtrack is done in 5.1 Dolby Digital and really kicks. There is commentary on four episodes including one with Jennifer Garner and JJ Abrams. You also get a gagreel, production diary for the pilot, deleted scenes and a sneek peak into Season 2. An outstanding set and show for the price. Can't wait to watch Season 2.Read full review
When this show first aired I was completely blown away by the faced paced plots and well written dialogue. The intricate plot developments will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Season one stands out because the material is so fresh and original. A real display of talent with a young Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan. My real favorite is Victor Garber as Sydneys dad. He gives a forceful, but controlled performance and adds a nice tone to the show. Alias was at its best in the first few seasons, so enjoy this DVD, it will be hard not to watch a few episodes in a row! Leo J. Monteiro
