This one is bigger than my other sony. I have X3, X5, hg1 they all can fill the space nicely. 32Watts that can get pretty loud. This is definitely not for a loud party. Personally X7 is flatter and so it's plays better with classics and jazz when ompared with other Sonys. It's a little heavy side for portable but I wouldn't mind. I need this when I am travelling. I love my X7!!!

I really like the speaker. Even though I’m a little underwhelmed this the volume (the amount of decibels it can produce) it sounds very good though. And the base is good, relative to the volume. If room is not to big. Then it’s very pleasing to listen to. I use it in the kitchen. And it works well for me.

If you pay any more than $150 you are getting ripped off the retail price when it was released was $299. great sound ,especially like mp3 sound enhancement feature. 2 negatives if you put it on a slippery surface and play it at high volume it will walk off a shelf,also the battery is not easily replaceable or even available although with some effort you can figure out how to open the speaker to get at the battery.
