The phone itself is very nice. The keyboard takes a little bit of getting used to, but after awhile is no problem at all. The biggest problem i had is since it's an AT&T phone I wanted to use it on T-Mobile service to be able to MMS you must enter in the network settings yourself to make it work. Not a big problem but a little aggravating till you figure it out. Also the 3G signals for AT&T and T-Mobile are different so if you have T-Mobile and want to use 3G do not get this phone. The phone charger that came with this phone is pretty much junk, but that's nothing against the phone itself. The battery life isn't the best on this phone but I'm sure a new battery would fix that with no problems. Overall I am pleased with everything else about this phone and would recommend it to other people to get if they can deal with the network problems.Read full review
This is by far the best phone I've used. Granted it's not a smartphone, but I didn't want one any way. Yet, it looks and acts like a smart phone and gives me the physical qwerty board I can't live without. I can slide through my pictures just like a smartphone and take and send picture texts with ease. The only thing I don't like is when a call comes in and I want to put it on speaker, I have to open up the slider to access this feature because once I've answered the call, the screen automatically turns off in less than a second so that my ear does not press the screen and dial or disconnect as would happen to me with the original LG VU. Before this one I had the Evergreen but that one kept turning off on it's own too many times and I would miss calls and alarms to wake me up.
The phone is great. Touch screen is easy to use, I am not a fan of touch screens and was hesitant, but it is fine. The keyboard is a problem. Anytime you go to hit the A button you accidently hit the mobile email button, it is just a very tight fitting keyboard, but overall the phone is good.
This small phone with slide out keyboard makes texting easy, fits in my front packet, has survived numerous falls, battery charge lasts for about three days. Whenever someone comes over with a Samsung Galaxy, the first thing they want to do is recharge it! I had one of these that went through the hot wash, and after about a week of drying out (no, not in the dryer) AT&T was able to retrieve via bluetooth all my phone numbers that were stored in the memory of the phone itself. It has a slot for a mini-SD card for massive storage of photos and you can always upgrade to a larger card by just putting one in there. No cloud necessary. There are two reasons why I gave it a four out of five stars for features. One is that the built-in web browser is a little primitive and the second is that the calendar, notes, etc. cannot be backed up. Walking around browsing the web is not my thing and since the one that went through the hot wash still had that all my info on it, I was able to transfer the rest manually. Transferring the phone numbers manually would have been a HUGE headache. Get one while you can, it's a winner.Read full review
Ease of use, tolerates use well, good reception, exactly what we were looking for. Nextel has come a long way in getting the great phones that customers are asking for out to the market. This far exceeds any other supplier out there. No one has even come close to the quality that nextel has.
