The book is interesting to say the least. I have not read it all yet. So far, I take issue with the fact that he does swear a little too much. Otherwise, I figure people are informed and can form their own opinions. Since I have read some of the author's opinions on Mr. Bill O'Reilly, I have found out that Mr. O'Reilly does donate his earnings to charity. So that is good. I think it is from his television show, but I am not sure. I don't know if I will purchase any more books from this author in the future.
Not only did Al open my eyes about the things that are going on in this country, right under our very noses, but he did it in a way that allowed me to laugh at my own gullibility! Not only did I LOVE this book, but I loved it enough that I will go back and seek out everything else this man has penned! The prose is sharp and incisive with a wit that, though sardonic, refuses to let the liars off the hook! Thank you, Al for taking the time and energy to try to inform this woefully misinformed country about the lies that slap us in the face every day under this ultra-conservative regime. And thank you for allowing us to laugh instead of cry, even though we should all be crying over the things that this administration has done in our names. A MUST read!
Al Franken and his Team Franken does a wonderful job of exposing the right wing of this countries politics and the lies and liars that tell them. Its filled with facts and tons of great humor that will leave you almost crying after laughing so hard. I liked how he exposed Bill Orielly, Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity in particular for the right wing propaganda hacks they are and he backs everything up with facts and even tosses in where he has satirized thier comments so as to be completely open and truthful. The Chapter on BJU is especially funny! If your Left leaning you will absolutely love this book. If your right leaning and trust Bush explicitly and read this book with an open mind and research for yourself the TRUTH that is exposed in this book your going to be absolutely BLOWN away with that very same truth! I highly recommend this book. Its a book once you start is very difficult to put down. Only thing I didnt like was one chapter where he has Cheney Bush Rumsfeld and a bunch of others as John Kerry's subordinates on a Swift boat in Vietnam but I guess he needed to fill some pages. Other than that I highly recommend you purchasing this book and giving it to all of your Republican Right wing friends who MUST see the truth about this administration the lies and liars that tell the lies!Read full review

I like Al Franken’s writing style. It is very conversational. The style did not make it hard to read, only the truth did. It became overwhelming at some points. But, it does not detract from the need to understand what is going on. It is books like this and other similar books that helps to critique and keep a watchful eye on those in power and those that speak for them. No matter the politics or events that transpire the United States remains the greatest power, not because we have the largest economy or the strongest military, but because we have a system where everyone is subject to the law and the people are the ultimate rulers. I recommend this book and any other book Al Franken as written.
