I bought this book because I love Christmas and everything about it. I usually start the Christmas spirit about September, crazy I know, but true. This book was very easy to read, once you start you don't want to put it down. I found it very easy to get a visual on the characters which really makes the book personable. You get to feel like you know these people and your heart goes out to them. If you have not been in these situations chances are you know someone, and it really puts their reality inter a whole new light. I found myself laughing, getting angry, and crying like a baby, you know ladies, the good cry that you don't really know where it came from but when your done, you feel so much better and appreciate things just a bit more than before. This book is so important for anyone who is stuggling with a loss or is just lost in there own world as I kind of was feeling. A great reminder of what we take for granted and what is really important in life. I finished this book in about four hours. And in that four hours, I got a better view of myself, big statement from merely a book I know, but read it and you'll see for yourself.Read full review
I found this book a couple years ago and have since given it as a gift to 3 or 4 friends. I have also read more of the series and loved them all.

This is a wonderful, bittersweet book that brings home what should be important to all of us. It's about an aggressive attorney who forgets how important his family is, until he meets a little boy on Christmas Eve who wants to buy the most beautiful shoes for his dying mother so she can "meet Jesus" in them. If you are an emotional person, it will make you have a good cry, but it is worth it. I can't wait to read the seqeuel.
Great book. If you have ever worked with children it holds your heart.
