I'll keep this short. For the money this display is bright, easy to read and has a great overall look. I have used monitors from many companies and this one is right there with high performance and contrast/color. I don't play FPS games, but I do play simulators and games like Command & Conquer. The colors on this IPS monitor are the best I have ever seen at this price point. Also, for daily work, very readable an less strain on my eyes with the high contrast and backlighting.

The monitor came in a regular brown box and it was well secured inside. It had molded Styrofoam holding it in place with all the required cables (hdmi and power) still in factory bags. The image quality is great for the price, but what really blew me away was the size of the screen. I completely underestimated how large 27 inches was. Good buy for a good price.

As a Let's Play gamer and editor, I found the 27xw to be just the right size and resolution for what I need to to. Multiple inputs allow me to switch between my recording/editing machine and my main gaming and streaming machine. The screen is nice and bright and needed no calibration out of the box. The only negative I have is that there is no display port input on the back. I had to use the only HDMI available on my main machines card, so I can't extend the desktop with a second 27xw monitor. And while there is a VGA port on the back of the monitor, most video cards made in the past year have phased out the old VGA standard. Which is why I could only give four stars on this review.
