I purchased this back in March, but because of the weather just now got to use it. I had a 46 mile trip planned on the Appalchian Trail. Day one I made it into camp and set up my gear. I inflated the matress and tried to sleep on it. It went flat in less than 30 min. I re-inflated several times. I checked the valves to make sure it was locked, and it was. The description says refurbished and guaranteed to work, but I cant help but feel that I got taken, and that I now have a 10 oz. paperweight in my pack. DO NOT BUY. UPDATE----- was promised refund by Kylomit. Its been several months. STILL NO WORD FROM THEM. DO NOT BUY!

I had my holdbacks on this but the price helped me take the plunge. Initially I expected something thin and flimsy but what I got was bombproof and substantial. I usually take a Z-ridge foam pad with me because of how light it is but this has forever changed my packing list. The z-ridge, while light, is just not thick/soft enough. When it arrived I was excited to try it out. I unpacked the small box and marveled at the size of the uninflated X-Lite. About five breaths and ten squeezes of the pressure bulb later and it was solid. I put it on my rock hard floor and was instantly satisfied with comfort. Packing it away is just as easy as inflating it, open the inflation valve, fold twice and roll. The Inertia X-Lite is an excellent deal.

IT doesn't look like much, but that's the point. It packs very small and is incredibly light weight. I'm a side sleeper and I was very comfortable on a multi day trip. The big plus is it takes only a few breaths to fill it. When I'm out of breath at altitude, it's nice to not have to blow for five minutes.

Klymit products are top quality in the backpacking and hiking industry. The ultralight Inertia X-Lite Recon sleeping pad is no exception. It is made of a durable material, is easy to inflate, and easy to repack in the supplied stuff sack. The included hand pump bulb allows the user to customize the air pressure level to suit their support needs. I've done away with my full-length self-inflating pad and this pad is now my go-to pad for extended hiking. At less than 7 ounces for a full torso pad, it's a great value. A real no-brainer.
