I lost my hair due to strong chemo - and one particular drug I had can cause long-term hair loss. It's been over a year and my hair is now growing slowly. Hoping this product can help fill in the areas that need thickening. It's been nearly 4 months and it seems it's helping. Easy to use everyday, let it dry, and then style...or hat!...your hair!

My doctor recommended that I use this product for hair regrowth. I have been using it for about a year, and my growth is very slow. I am not blaming the product cause there could be other circumstances related to my slow hair growth. Nevertheless, I will continue using it for a while longer.

Actually regrows hair fallen out. Due to a long time of illness, my hair fell out by the handfuls. All the hair grew back again, and I had a full head of hair. However, it would help if you continued using Rogaine; I lost my new hair growth after four months of nonuse. This time around, I will use it for one full year. I highly recommend.

I use this product many years ago and then just purchased it for my girlfriend here this past week as she is losing a lot of her hair. I couldn't give it five stars yet because we haven't had it long enough to see how it's going to work on her. We checked with a doctor, and learned that my girlfriend has a significant shortage of zinc in her system. Zinc is needed by the body, and also needed by hair follicles in the scalp. My girlfriend is going to start taking a multivitamin with zinc & other trace minerals in it, and sheis going to switch to a shampoo containing zinc as an active ingredient, i.e. Head & Shoulders, which is what I have used for twenty years or so. Have used H&S shampoo not for dandruff, but for it's zinc which I have known for decades is good for your scalp.

In 2001, my hair started falling out on top. An endocrinologist told me that I was "just at that age," and anyway, my hair was not actually thin, just thinner than it had been. At that time, I started taking niacin (a B vitamin), and the loss stopped. Then, over the years, I found that the strands were becoming finer and finer. My hair was starting to look thin on the crown and at the temples. The worst thing was when I washed it, and it felt like cobwebs, barely there. So, after a bit of research, I bought some Rogaine foam 5%. I used it a few times, now and then, to see if I would have any bad side-effects. It did seem to make my heart pound the first few times, but then that went away. Also, I was using too much at a time, so that probably accounts for that. I have been using the same brand and dose for 4 months now, regularly, except for a few days occasionally when I color my hair. There has been a dramatic improvement in both the thickness of the hair shafts and the general thickness of my hair, starting at about 2 months. I supplement the Rogaine with a B-100 supplement, taken several days per week, and some daily brushing of my scalp with a 'wet brush,' which is (I guess) supposed to be for wet hair, but works great on my dry hair. I would also like to mention that some of the Rogaine has been 'out of date,' but still worked fine for me. I have had trouble with facial hair for quite some time, and it is a bit worse with the Rogaine, but just marginally. Anyway, I am extremely happy with this product and intend to keep using it. If it is any help, I am in my early 60s.Read full review
