This unit is great for the price. I’ve blown up several tractor, car, and truck tires. The best features include its portability, and the gauge is easy to read while blowing tires up to the correct pressure. Now there is a couple of things I don’t like. First of all, it is slow and may take several minutes to blow up a car tire. This is typical of many small compressors but this one is not something that you can walk away from. You must hold the trigger for the entire job since there is no trigger lock or anything like that. The output is low compared to a typical 12 volt accessory plug in type. Generally one battery will blow up one or two tires. Considering all factors, it is a bargain for the money and it’s fool-proof.

Heated up constantly when filling and auto tire, then rattled on till the plastic cooling blade broke, It failed to work. When I contacted Ryobi they said they no longer carry parts for it and discontinued production therefore I could not repair or replace it. Too bad it could have been a useful tool around the garage! Shame on Ryobi all my other Ryobi tools are great,

I'd seen infomercials for the Air Dragon and another brand handheld inflator and thought, what a great idea, so I checked on Ebay to see what was available. I ran across the Ryobi model and since I have a bunch of Ryobi cordless tools and many 18+ volt batteries it didn't take much to make me choose the Ryobi inflator to add to my tool arsenal. I just now tried it out on one of my Corvette tires that has a slow leak and it worked great. It isn't a high volume air compressor but it did the trick and pumped the tire right up to 36 psi. It took about 7-8 minutes but was much more convenient than hooking up my compressor and pulling out 50ft of hose to do the same thing. This tool is ideal for keeping the wheelbarrow, bicycle, dolly and lawnmower tires at their rated pressures. It will drain a fresh charged battery if you have to pump up a car tire from flat but it will do the job and it's not too loud. I recommend the Ryobi Inflator, especially if you're already using Ryobi cordless tools and batteries. For the price the value is very high. I really like the extra length of hose on this model vs the other brands. The valve nozzle latch worked perfectly on the first try. The only improvement I would have made to this tool would have been to add a trigger lock so you would have to hold the trigger down during the entire operation, not a game changer for me.Read full review

This is a really cool and extremely handy air compressor that is small in size, but can handle most small jobs such as filling car tires, sports balls and air rafts without having to drag out my bigger bulkier air compressor. So it is very handy and I recommend it to anyone who needs a small easy to use compressor. If you don't already have the Ryobi plus one battery and charger you will need to spend more $ to make this item work though as it is the compressor only.

Bought this to replace a larger older Ryobi model, and so far so good. My last one had two different pumps for high and low pressure, whereas this just has the one high pressure. The other had more settings too, but honestly all I needed was something to blow tyres and air toys up with - and this does that very well. It's lightweight, fast, and the dial is surprisingly easy to use vs the digital model I was used to.
