An inexpensive tool for monitoring water pH that does what it's supposed to. Nothing fancy, but dependable and easy to use. How it could be better: - Make it waterproof. It's watertight and can take a splash, but drop it in your tank or pool and it's pretty much toast. I added a short wrist lanyard to the clip that does keep it relatively safe if I lose my grip on it. - Make the display larger. It's readable as it is, but it could be more easily readable, especially at arm's length. - Add a hold button to capture the pH reading.

I'm sure this is a great tool, but the instructions for calibration appear to have been written in English by someone who doesn't actually speak the language. I think I'll be able to decipher them, but it shouldn't be so difficult. It would behoove the manufacturer to get a native speaker to write their technical information.

This instrument does the job at a great price.. You should be aware however it needs to be calibrated before you can use it. Not a big deal. The instructions have been translated from chinese so they can be a little confusing but you'll figure it out. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOUR WATER TEMP IS CORRECT BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE CALIBRATION.. Not trying to scare you with the all caps just be aware of that.. There are a couple helpful vids on youtube that can walk you through it if need be. good luck 👍😎

This is the second low cost pH meter I've purchased. Handle these meters gently- they don't take rough use well. These are not as good as the Hanna meters but are less expensive. If you need to take measurements daily or more, get the Hanna or better meters.
