I have to say that overall I like this hibachi, however, its a bit of a pain to get the ashes out. To clear the ashed, you have to take out all of the gratings, and also remove the front vent door. I almost lost the front vent door the first time because I didn't realize it when I dumped the ashes out that the door was loose and fell into the trash with the ashes. Fortunately, next day I went to use the hibachi and realized it was missing. If I had waited a week or more, I'm afraid the vent door would have been long gone. Otherwise, the hibachi works and cooks great - even heating, and nice size surface for feeding 2 people.

Hard to clean, the sliding doors fall off. No way to adjust the heat level easily. Small Smokey Grills cook better with their lid control. Have buyers remorse now....

It's a good grill to cook for 2 people , a couple steaks , buggers , or lobster tails its good . That's what I bought it for but , if you don't like cleaning or don't have the cover or a place to keep out of the weather this is not the grill for you .It is cast iron which is great heating evenly but , don't drop any of the pieces on a hard surface they will break so be careful . I really like mine and keep it in my camper .

It is easy to load with the charcoal and cook on the surface. The only problem, and it is a small problem, is cleaning out the charcoal ashes. I found it easier to just rinse them out with a hose when the grill is cooled and dry the unit with a rag to prevent the possibility of promoting rust inside or out. The wight of the unit could be a potential problem for some, so I would suggest finding a good spot outdoors and leaving it there for the duration of the cookout season. Does the company make a cooking cover to use when grilling? Too much heat escapes into the air making the cooking time longer than with a covered grill.

I love my new Lodge hibachi grill. A small bag of self-lighting charcoal fits perfectly on the bottom grill. I am a widow and the grill is just perfect for one item and some veggies.
