I would love to see a way to access water pan and chips with out opening door. Im 6 foot tall and it is size of mini fridge and sits on floor. Definitely suggest metal grated table not wood the whole unit gets hot and if grease or water drip to bottom it leaks out. Over all for cost it was good easy cheep way to smoke. Also would like to be able to set temp n forget takes an hr to get to 200 degrees using hi setting then have to maneuver to med hi to keep that temp. Like i said for 1st timer looking 4 cheep electric smoker id say good choice because you are not throwing away too much if it dont work out. However if you love smoking id suggest a viewing window, a way to put water and chips in with out opening door and digital temp oven with probe. Lol. I didnt realize how important them amenities were til i got this lil smoker. Read full review

Have only owned two smokers including this one. Without a doubt, this Smoky Mountain smoker is the best! My first smoking of fish, I filled all three shelves, and it worked like magic. 1st time I've ever given away smoked fish because I love them for a great snack! The door latch is a bit awkward to use since it gets so hot, but not a problem with a heat pad. Excellent product.
