This umbrella is excellent, easy to use, easy to adjust, tilt, raise and lower and turn 360⁰ with the foot pedal. I'm an older person and no longer able to grapple with some umbrellas on the market now. We went through three other ones which were too difficult for me to manage. With three tube sandbags to hold it in place, it does everything as advertised, and so well that we bought a second one. The only improvement I might recommend (really a minor one) is making the tie back ribbons a bit longer.

I have had to order pedestal umbrellas for the past 10 years for our pool deck. The first one I ever ordered was from a National chain and it was an all steel frame which lasted about 4 years or so until sun finally rotted top, but was unable to buy a top to fit as umbrella was no longer sold by that firm. I then purchased about 3 more after that that lasted about a year each before top faded so bad, and lift rope broke etc. I then purchased another new one last year at approx. $180.00 thinking it was equal quality as those previous good ones - WRONG! It had all plastic joints and handle, and lasted almost 2 months before the first wind finished the joints. Mind you we don't normally leave it up over night or in the winds, but got caught off guard. Winds were about 20 MPH. The frame fell apart and the umbrella was virtually on the ground. This time I researched the Roma umbrella which has a rectangular steel tube support instead of a round aluminum frame. Still a little plastic around joints, but steel umbrella support bars (8 of them instead of 6). The base is about equal, but I do not rely on patio stones to hold them in place, I tap-con them right to the concrete deck! I also drill from 8-16 extra holes in foot bars, and make sure at least 4 tap-cons, per quarter frame to ensure solid on ground! So far this umbrella seems to be the best well made one so far, and time will tell. With it placed in a vacation rental home we expect to replace every two years, so we'll see about this one.Read full review

I have had two cantilever type umbrellas before, both destroyed by the wind. Everything about this umbrella is more substantial: the pole material, the fastenings, the crank, the movable base, the two umbrella arms. A good value on an excellent product. How often do you get a chance to say that?

I was looking for a offset umbrella that was heavy duty and would pivot. This was great quality and very sturdy. Buy large paver stones to weigh it down. Perfect over the hot tub.

I received the umbrella and I was worried because the box was in rough shape but when I opened it, it had an inner carton. All parts were included and it was easy to put together. You just attach a handle and put the legs on with a 9/16 socket. You will need to weigh it down. I bought a couple of bags and filled them with about a 100 lbs of gravel. It operates easy and tilts for convenience. Quality product.
