Really a good deal compared to similar shades. In addition to screwing the base to the deck I made a brace using a conduit hanger and threaded rod (5/16) which dramatically improved stability in the wind. I'm careful to always close it in high wind or when not using and it's been great.

Metal looking handle is VERY cheap and bent on 1st use. Cord that winds up an down is not good quality and will rot in weather quickly. Unit is extremely top-heavy and needs a LOT of sand bags, concrete blocks or just bolting to keep from falling over. Any breeze at all and the umbrella part is spinning and flopping around. Over-All spend a little more and get a better quality one that will last for a while.

The first time we used this umbrella we noted that the seams on one of the panels was coming apart. It does provide a lot of shade and we will be able to use it for a while, but will not last as long as anticipated due to the seam separating already.

Shipping was really fast , and it came 2 days before expected, very surprised and happy! Overall I believe it was a good deal at great price. I was a little skeptical because of price, but now Im happy I got it. You will need extra weight for base, there are mounting instructions included but you will have to buy some extra bolts for this. The material for the umbrella is on thin side, our last umbrella was definitely thicker, but it will supply shade. The umbrella moves a good deal in the wind but if anchored properly it stays in place. depending on how long it lasts will determine if it was a great deal, still a little skeptical. At this point I would buy again.

The base is too weak even with weights on it. First day a small 10 mile per hour came up and bent the base. The metal is too thin. Have to make your own base support with concrete and tubing to support it. I do like it but have to make a base support for them. The flue at the top is sewn too tight and does not allow air to flow through it like a parachute would. Just minor things that wouldn't add that much to the cost of the unit.
