I needed a rest for my spring powered airguns. Spring powered airguns are finicky on how they are held. A too hard of a rest will cause erratic shooting. This rest gives the proper support, more along the sides, rather than the bottom, giving a wedge type of support. The rifle stays put and will not move. This rest has a nice carrying handle. and substantial weight for stability. It is supposed to be filled with crushed corn cob media, rather than sand.

This bag is substantially better at stabilizing my rifles while shooting from the bench. I've mainly used good quality bags on which my rifles rest on top, plus a rear bag. This new bag holds the rifle very still, allowing me to quite easily get my cross-hairs on my bullseye and concentrate on my breathing and trigger pull, a lot more secure.

I have had one of these for about 10 years and it finial gave out, 500 S&W didn't do it any good. The new one has a much better strap, and seems not quite as long. great bag and worth the money
