So whether or not this is a great board, I can't say. I bought a refurbished 55 inch TV from Frys, and after it sat in the box for a couple months, I finally got around to installing it. It ran for about 5 minutes then gave out. The picture gone, but the backlight and sound still worked. So I ordered this card to replace the existing one. A simple swap out and my TV was working again. May not be this card, I also replaced the other display driver card at the same time. But the price was reasonable, and just replacing the cards fixed the TV.

Don't fault your T-con board when there is sound with no picture. Replace this first. Less costly and more likely to fail than the RCA T-con or LCD panel.
