I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He absolutely loved it. He is I would think Princes' NO.1 fan. He said he thinks he owned it years ago but not sure how he lost it. But when he listened to it he got goose bumps all over! He loved it and I thought it was quite good also. Prince is a exceptionlal (genius) even musical artist. The cd was delivered before due date and was packaged very well. I would definitely recommend this one.

This Prince "For You" CD arrived in brand new sealed condition. For the most part, I believe Prince was an excellent & eclectic musical artist who did not get the recognition he deserved during his lifetime. My reasoning behind rating this particular Prince CD a "no" for recommendation and value is only because, personally, I did not like the style of the music on this CD. Some folks may enjoy this CD immensely, unfortunately, it's just not for me. I was actually looking for a Prince song that I had heard just a few times on the radio back in the 70's. That song was exceptional, but the name of the song was never mentioned during airplay. Since this CD is of Prince's earlier music, I thought I would take the chance that that song may be on this CD; unfortunately, it was not.

This is by far some of his best work that never got any radio play, the only song anyone knows from this album is Soft & Wet. It was a great song but there are other songs that are just as good.
