If you are expecting a book laying out a set routine, this isn't the book for you. Grandmaster Wong has written a book of qigong knowledge and he has illustrated some movements what will benefit beginners if practiced consistently, but again, there is no set routine as everyone's needs differ. The reader will put together his or her own routine and it will change over time. Grandmaster Wong does recommend people take instruction under a qualified teacher and points out some pitfalls of learning on your own. As qigong beginner living in an area where I can't find a qigong instructor in the style I'm interested in, I am currently relying on books and videos. I had this book in digital format and liked it enough to purchase a paper copy. I feel I got a lot out of this book and in addition to the illustrations of the moves in the book there are videos of Grandmaster Wong performing some of the moves on YouTube for those that want more than static illustrations. It's a shame he doesn't appear to be teaching anymore as I'd love to take a workshop from him.Read full review
