When I bought this game, I was so hyped about it. Then once I started playing it, I see why it got terrible reviews. Packed with many flaws, none of them are more irritating than its controls. For some reason, no matter how hard you try, it doesn’t cooperate with you. This is a major pain in the butt as you cannot even see where you are going sometimes. Plus with zombies chasing you, you do not have time to fiddle around with the controls. If the game makers paid more attention to controls, this game could’ve been one of the best horror games out there (for the PS2 anyway). Unfortunately, terrible controls prevent it from becoming a good game. Now I am almost finished this game, and the only reason I’ve played it for so long is to see how it ends. I’ve been a loyal Alone in the Dark fan and this game has disappointed me a lot. As far as storylines go, this game hit the mark; very scary when it needs to be while also focusing on secondary character development. Despite this, I have to give this game a 1/5 due to its poor controls and lack of multiplayer options.Read full review
after me and my son saw the domo of this game we knew we had to buy it , at times this game will have you jump out of your skin , the story line is great , the graphics are great as well, the only problem i find with this game as that at times if you dont have a guide to turn to you may get stuck , my son is a pro at gaming and has finished games in 12 hours sometimes but this game gets a little tricky , if you dont want to buy the guide you can just go online and find online walkthrough guides , but besides the guide issue ( which is a very tine issue ) i thin kthis game rocks , theres zombies , the devil , bodies getting sucked in right through a walls , cars getting swallowed whole by the streets if you dont drive away fast enough really really cool give it a try its at a really good price on ebay too, enjoy alone in the dark you guys :)Read full review
well so far this game has been more of a hassel then fun with clunky gameplay and sub par graphics and really hard levels its an ok game if your into the cliffhanger type of games but if your looking for anything more then a few hours of average gameplay with not alot to offer then get this game
this game is allsome the graphics are great the game it explains it self we love playing it and it is again great game i am glad i bought this game people should go out and buy this game ALONE IN THE DARK great great game love it.
One of the best games I've played in a long time. At one time I thought no game would be as good as Resident Evil but this has done. Anyone who loves RE games will love this one.
