Burnout 2: Point of Impact has more tracks, more vehicles, a thicker single-player mode, extra modes to die for such as Crash and Pursuit, different weather conditions, pretty visuals, and a more impressive sound package. Plus, the GameCube version is better than the PlayStation 2 version with more crash junctions and an enhanced engine. I can only highly recommend it to any arcade racing fan. It's definitely worth a buy, even if the single-player content can be experienced in five hours of less. Crash mode, the Custom Series Champsionship, which features more cars to unlock and all the tracks in reverse, and the multiplayer make up for it. Few arcade racers can compare to what Criterion has pulled off.
Burnout 2 is the best in all the Burnout incarnations, the rest just fell flat after that. It's nice you can enable progressive scan on the Wii or GameCube as well. Had it for years and it's still a favorite quick pick up and play when people come over. It's a party game, just you and a friend, or solo. One of my all time favorite games.

Its a good game, but not as good as the first one, if you are debating on which one to get, get the 1st one its better you will be very happy with it. It has many less features, its not as fast, their is less cars, worse tracks Its good because you can choose the weather, better graphics, get boost easy, cool multiplayer I would rate this game a 4/5
I love this game so much that this is my second copy. I like the fact that there are different vehicles in your way as you travel through the streets and that they are timed to get in your way at different intervals adding to the skill needed to complete a 'crash free' race. The racing mode is fun with options to travel the courses forward, backward, night, or day, but most of all I find it wicked fun to be rated on my crashes! It's a family affair at our house.
It doesn't matter if this game is old, if you are into racing (the fun kind, like Mario Kart, not the ultra-serious kind), then this is the game for you. For an "old" game on the Gamecube, it still has amazing graphics. The different modes and races will keep you entertained for many hours. Modes include Championship races, single races, a crash mode, pursuit mode, or races against a friend (one only though). There's a decent number of tracks and many cars/tracks to unlock. I bought this game because I liked the original Burnout and I am definitely not disappointed.
