Luck is all you have. You start off down. No matter what. You'll start with half as much money as the 'Reds'.....all the time. This makes buying anything comparable to what the Reds will buy impossible. Say an F-4 for you and a SU-29/Mig31 for him. Plus he gets more money for blowing you away, which is easy because he has better sh** than you do, because he starts with at least twice as much money as you do, sometimes four times as much. Vicious cycle indeed. But he is easy to bait and quite stupid sometimes, so you have few opportunities in which luck helps, but isn't all there is to it. Mostly tho, it's all luck. Spent many controllers into the ground behind this one. Horrible, wonderful game. Especially how g-force taking over a pilot's body gives him an 'advantage'??? This was the beginning to a 24 year love affair with strategy games. This is where it all began for me. No D&D bs. Like a teacher that beats you with sticks for fu***** up is how I remember this game. I know how mind rape feels.Read full review

This is a great rpg with multiple playing stages and variations. If you like war games and scenarios, buy this game! You can play this game over and over and it's never the same. What more can you ask for. Buy it as the complete set to get the most from this game. Without the instructions (the map is just a bonus) it will take a while to figure out how to play this game.
