Die Hard Arcade (DHA) is loosely based upon the original movie, but with a few storyline deviations. With that said, the game is awesome from beginning to end. It's a brawler from the get-go, only stopping for a moment to allow the player to catch their breath. There are plenty of power-ups and weapons to pickup and use, so there should be no issues with getting the upper-hand against foes. However, should you not have a weapon to pickup, the main character can punch, kick, and has special-moves that can be used to end enemy onslaught. Actually, the game never gets too hectic, rather it balances your character's abilities against the number of foes required to clear the level. This is the first game that uses the timed 'press-a-button' onscreen prompts in the between scenes regions usually reserved for a games' cut-scenes. If you like action games, you must (at the very least) try this one out...you won't be disappointed. I have no 'dislikes' with this game. theadmiral1965Read full review

This game was one of the stand out games from the sega saturn line. Obviously implied from the name this was an arcade port but it doesn't lose any of its shine in the transfer. The controls are responsive to a beat up brawler. Also with many interesting pickups and powerups it keeps the game interesting. This comes included with a two player mode so you and a friend can enjoy the game together. Though like most games of this type it ends up coming to a short play time, but has plenty of replayability.

Remember in Die Hard when Bruce Willis fought robots and sumo guys while getting shot at by rocket launchers? Yeah, neither do I... This is a two player game port of the arcade game obviously. Graphics are great for the -time-. It's a beat 'em up where you need to rescue the President's daughter while terrorist are trying to break into the vault. Bad guys are pretty humorous, and the game really dosn't follow the movie much... No, it dosn't follow the movie at all. It's fun in that it is ridiculous. Controls are just bad. Sometimes you want to punch, but being over a weapon or object you'll end up picking it up. I hate this when the controller has SIX, yes SIX buttons not including the shoulder buttons. If you like Die Hard and want to play a good game I recommend Die Hard Trilogy for more of a challenge. Don't spend a lot for this game. It's too short and the replay value really isn't there. Personally I wouldn't go more than $25 for it.Read full review
