Although there is nothing really outstanding about this game, the story line is pretty compelling and you get some cool new features like using unmanned robots to fight ahead of your squad (one of them looks like Jonny-5 with a .30 cal rotating gun on it....hahaha priceless!) The major down point that i found is that vehicles in this game are harder to control than the warthog from HALO 1...and they can be destroyed. This game does give you the idea that you'll be working with squad members to complete objectives, but be prepared to do a great deal of the work on your own. And dont bother trying to save the downed soldiers, they just get replaced shortly after one dies. If your looking for a First person shooter that delivers on most of what it promises, then this game is a prime pick.Read full review
If you enjoy FPS Games then Fuel of war is at least a rental to see if this one is for you. The game's story is interesting too with the worls oil supply running out, The superpowers are now fighting over the last drops. The game plays like the battlefield games where you must control points on a map. But as you do this you push the frontline, or where these points are closer to your opponents side. being this can go back and forth forever, In MP Your side wins if you control all points or when the timer runs out ,seeing who has the most kills. The single player game is more story driven and captured points can't be taken away by enemy. You just must defeat them any way you choose. In Frontlines there are many ways to do this as drones are included which can be operated by remote control to seek out targets. Add to this planes , tanks, jeeps and helicopters like in previous battlefield games and you have a pretty good idea how this game plays. Alot like BF2 But with added remote control weapons and destructible envirements.Read full review
For it's age, this is a great game! In my opinion, this should have given CoD a run for it's money! Game play is simple, and straight forward. Capture/destroy objective, repeat. You can even still play online! Hopefully this game will get a reboot, soon!

I really liked the feel, pacing, and variety of this game. I enjoyed Halo 3's vehicle combat sections, and Frontlines had a similar feel, although the vehicles are much more balanced here. Many of the objectives in the game can be done in a variety of ways. Tank blocking the road? Drive a remote controlled car in and blow it up under the tank. Prefer a stealthier approach? Sneak in another route, and plant some C4. Rather shoot it from a safe distance? Lock on with an RPG and watch the rocket fly! The weapon switching system is very easy to use and intuitive. You hold the Y button and use the analog stick to choose which gun you want. This makes for easy switching on the fly, which you'll certainly have to do in the heat of battle. Not a AAA big name title, but definitely worth the little bit of $$ you can probably find it for (I got it new for $37 about 2 weeks after it came out). Similar to Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 as far as not super realistic, one hit kills, as well as regenerating health. Check it out!Read full review
The single campaign for this game is rather short, but still loads of entertainment as it will also train you well for the best part of this game....THE MULTIPLAYER. I've played this game for almost 10 months now(until my console scratched it up...which is why I'm buying it for a second time.) The reason the online play is so good, is because of the VEHICLES, the DRONES, etc, etc. There's also a good number of maps you can visit, including the extra maps available for download for a reasonable price(especially if you want giant maps where you can get in dogfights or scorch the earth from above! You can either play as a squad, or you can roam on your own and pick off whomever you choose(on the opposing side.) All online play is capturing points/objectives, pushing the frontlines back into enemy territory until the last point is captured. I love this game. When it first came out, the servers were jam-packed full of players. Those numbers have dropped off a bit, since all of the other Xbox360 gme releases, so sometimes it can be a bit frustrating that you can't always play your favorite map with a huge population of players. But you can always create your own session and invite whomever you choose. This game is well worth the money...especially if you're getting it used(or new) from Ebay. It appears the online play will be a round for a little while longer. But I've noticed recently that most of the players who are still playing online, are pretty good. But that's not always the case. Just buy it and try it! Enjoy.Read full review
