Puts you in the middle of Harry Potter's life
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is a great game. If you are a movie or book fan then you will love this because it looks likes the movies but has the little things from the books all throughout the game. You can go anywhere in Hogwarts without having to wait for a loading screen which is so nice after playing Chamber of Secrets. So much to do and so much to see that you don't want to put it down. The only real downside is the camera angle can get annoying and the people sometimes don't get out of your way but those are only short, brief, and far between that it shouldn't ruin your harry potter experience. Overall its a great game that lets you do what you want. a Few minor issues that are easily overlooked. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is truly the best harry potter to date.Read full review

A Great Game for Harry Potter Fans!
The gameplay is smooth. Hogwarts is as magical and beautiful as ever, and you can even occupy your time playing Wizard's Chess (which I admit, I've played my fair share of). The story isn't as strong as it could have been, but as a hardcore Harry Potter fan, I can overlook its imperfections. Personally, I love it, but I would recommend buyers to watch some gameplay footage first, just to be sure that they'll enjoy it.

Nice But Could Stand Improvement
I really loved the graphics. And I appreciated the Marauder's Map being available all the way through (those little foot prints took me everywhere.) And I liked the games -- the marbles, the matching games and, especially, the Wizard's Chess. (I wish somebody would make a game that is nothing but Wizard's Chess.) BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, the duels were disappointing because it seems no matter how good or bad you were at casting spells they always turned out the same. And the hardest part was figuring out when the game ended ( I still don't know.) Usually there are credits at the end to let you know it's the end but in this game you could roam the halls forever looking for an ending that isn't there.

Extensive & fun!
I'm a big fan of the books, as well as the movies. I have all of the games for Xbox - this one I only had on PC, so I wanted to pick it up for the 360. The graphics are pretty good, the map is HUGE, and there's a ton of things to do. You can find your favorite characters & there's a lot of interaction throughout the map: fixing broken vases, pushing rugs & tapestries aside, games to play, secret doorways/passwords, etc. It's all there. One of the only complaints I had were about the tasks & how I've yet to find a place that lists them clearly...Now, it could be I've missed something, but it's hard to come back to the game after a long while & remember conversations, instructions and clues you were given on your character a couple weeks back, ya know? Other than that, I'll say that this game is much more in-depth than Half-blood Prince, the next in the series - maybe not as graphicly pleasing, but nearly, & there's just A LOT more to do. So, I would suggest this one above HBP. AS for this entire series of games, I think this game is also very indicative of how the characters are growing up - the games progress in much the same way as far as the way chracters interact with their environment and other characters, what tasks you have & how complicated they are, the gameplay itself & the increasingly complicated moves one must do to be sucessful. All around, well worth the money & tons of fun!Read full review
