Starblade was released in 1991 for the arcade then ported to 3DO and even Sega CD in 1994. The game is an on-rails shooter and plays similiar to Star Wars Arcade and Star Fox. This port has Arcade Mode with filled polygons like the arcade and 3DO Mode an enhanced version with bitmap textures. Aside from the updated graphics this game does not have any extra modes or differences in gameplay from the arcade. Even the lack of in game music and the annoying dialogue is left intact when playing the game. The game can be completed in 35 minutes or less without warranting any sort of replay value. 1 1/2 out of 5 stars I would recommend Sega's Panzer Dragoon titles for great on-rails shooter games.
WELL ANOTHER OFTEN OVERLOOKED 3DO TITLE JUST A GREAT PIECE OF VINTAGE GAMING HISTORY ALL I CAN SAY IS YOU HAVE TO PLAY THIS GAME IF YOU WANT THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF IT IT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF
