This is a really great conversion of the arcade game, & it brings back so much memories. I think that everyone should pick this up. You can also check out the arcade version of it on the Strider 1 bonus disc on PS. Don't bother going for the one on both Capcom Classics Collection Vol.2 on X-Box or PS2 or Capcom Classics Collection:Remixed on PSP, as that version of Strider is the later version, in which the music on Stages 3 & 5 play the EXACT same music from Stage 1, including when you're facing grandmaster. There were two different versions of Strider in the arcades (an earlier version, which was also used on the MegaDrive version & the PS version bonus disc), just to let you know.
Fun must have for the collection. Fun to play arcade quality game.

Pros: The main character is able to climb around the environment and cling to things. There are plenty of enemies for you to take down, the bosses are nicely done. Cons: The main character's animations are very stiff. I know this title is for the genesis but still. The stiff animations of the main character also throw off the controls, this makes any kind of acrobatic move to be imprecise. You also only have 1 type of a weapon at your disposal, and the game is short.
This game is as awesome as I remember it.

Strider is awesome. The game being an amazingly done port, it has the character sprites being big and bold, To being honest, it looks great, especially for being one of the earlier Sega Genesis games. Strider moves very nicely and can jump/flip through the air. You also have at your disposal his cipher sword which is great in this game, as you can also get upgrades for it. This game is a must have for Genesis owners.
